New Diana Rallys The Troops
Preparing for their District 18-2A battle tonight with the White Oak Roughnecks, the New Diana Eagles held a raucous rally in the schools gymnasium.
New Diana is 1-0 in division play, and White Oak is 0-1. Both teams need wins this week. The Eagles are coming off a big win last week against Elysian Fields, a team that beat White Oak earlier this year.
KYKX personalities Harlan and Pigskin Bob were on hand to feature the school, as well as hand out some awards:
Jimmy Coulter was selected as best student athlete of the week, and Cary Gullett was selected as cheerleader of the week. Both students are now in the running for a $1005.00 scholarships, to be awarded by KYKX at the end of the year.
The Lady Eagles Volleyball Team was also on hand, rallying for this evening's contest with Pine Tree.
